Sommer Ferien vorbei !!!.... Zeit für Schulranzen oder für Erstklässler neue Schultüte….. right???
But what else we need to think of when it comes to school and to have a good start??????
Yes, invoking blessings of Devi Saraswati, our goddess of knowledge, art, Music and learning.
On 11th September 2021, the children of HSS Balagokulam Munich along with the students of Swaraanjali Music School observed Saraswati Pooja. This pooja, which is observed before the start of school was attended by 12 kids and their parents in the newly founded Shivalayam Temple Munich, with additional 25 families attending online. This Pooja ritual has always been observed before school start to pray to Goddess Saraswati for good studies and success in school life. Along with the children, the parents also pray that Goddess Saraswati grants their children not just knowledge, but also wiseness, wit and a sharp mind.
The children were asked to come in traditional dresses, bring fruits and flowers for pooja and naivedya (offering), rice and jaggery as daana(donation) for the temple, and their schoolbooks and stationery for the pooja. Purohit ji (priest) led the attendees through the pooja, of which the necessary items and utensils such as kumkum, sandalwood paste, akshata rice, plate, kalasha and idol etc. were offered by the temple, with a lot of detailed and simple explanations.
Some children offered shloka, bhajan, Sangeetha or nritya seva (offering of prayer, song or dance), along with an especially auspicious veena rendition by one of our karyakarta.
Kiddies took part enthusiastically in various pooja activities, such as mangalaarti, breaking coconuts, ringing the big temple bell, saying shlokas and doing all the rituals with utmost devotion.
Everyone participated enthusiastically in various pooja activities which was alter followed by yummy Prasad, enjoyed this blissfull event and loved seeing each other after a long time, leading to a very bustling and cheerful atmosphere in the temple. It is planned to conduct this event every year in collaboration with the Shivalayam Temple of Munich.
